Ramesh Agarwal, PhD, is among a group of collaborators in Missouri that received a $750,000 grant from the National Aeronautic and Space Administration to study turbulence modeling.
The five-year grant, awarded to Missouri University of Science and Technology, is part of NASA’s Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) and includes a $375,000 matching grant, bringing the total amount to $1.125 million.
Agarwal, the William Palm Professor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering & Materials Science, will work with four collaborators from Missouri S&T and Lincoln University to develop new turbulence models for aircraft and aerospace vehicles.
